que, toda d’or,
a espai desperta
entre la mar
de brea i sal
i el camp callat
de mel i ametlla

MARC GRANELL
Marc Granell (Valencia in 1953),a Valencian poet and translator, studied at the University of Valencia. He was a translator and editor at the Valencia Provincial Council until 2018 when he retired. He participated in the founding of the literary magazine “Cairell” (1979-1981), which unveiled a whole new generation of Valencian poets. He was director, among others, of the “GregalPoesia” collection, and also of the “Poetry” collection of the Institution Alfonso el Magnánimo.
He won the Vicent Andrés i Estellés award (1976) and the Ausiàs March award (1979). He published several collections of poems such as “Fira desolada”, “Versos per a Anna”, “Corrent de fons”, …

El meu país
és llarg i prim
com un vent fi
de primavera
quan ix el sol
és una flor
que, toda d’or,
a espai desperta
entre la mar
de brea i sal
i el camp callat
de mel i ametlla
Quan ve la nit
se’n va a dormir,
tan llarg i prim,
sobre l’arena
daurada i fina,
sota la nívia
llum que li envia
la lluna plena.
